We have until the end of this month to take advantage of the 50 off sale. Not what I have come to expect from Topaz over the years. Topaz ReMask3 Why have I not been using this until now Try it out. Possibly that will improve if I get more familiar but I doubt it on my current experience.Īll in all a major disappointment and at the moment I regret spending my money and I may well seek a refund.

Topaz has offered a free downloadable trial on. It is taking me longer to produce a good selection that it did in Remask. Topaz Mask AI is a powerful tool, and if you are replacing backgrounds with complex objects or people in the foreground, it's worth a close look. Generally the workflow is a significant backward step with no gain in accuracy. It is just the cut out which then means a small amount of messing about to create a mask which is how I prefer to work. The removal of the transparency and local colour selections from a Masking tool that is Topaz’s “best to date” is unfathomable especially when that excellent technology which really helps tidyup complex masks already exists. Topaz ReMask is the quickest and easiest way to extract a subject from your photo. Open the Topaz ReMask dmg or exe file, double-click on the Topaz ReMask installer, and then follow the onscreen instructions. Close Photoshop or other image editing program if you are using it. It might make general masking easier but complex masking it almost makes impossible and the thing with masking is if it’s not exactly right in many cases you will notice. Topaz ReMask is a Photoshop plug-in, which means it won’t run by itself and requires a compatible host program.
